The Grass Is Greener in NYC

In the lap of green luxury at The Solaire (Courtesy of The Solaire)
Have you figured out the difference between a socially conscious New Yorker and a socially conscious person from elsewhere? Stumped? A New Yorker will never sacrifice luxury for nature and so a new era was born. Green living residences have popped up all over the city to met the "going green" demand.

Interestingly enough, a number of these green residences have popped up in Lower Manhattan near Battery Park City and Tribeca. Many of the buildings including The Verdesian and 22 River Terrace have green landscaped rooftops for children and adults alike.

Most green living residences have in common high air quality, EnergyStar appliances and solar paneling windows within residences. While buildings like The Solaire remain focused on luxury, Tribeca Green has taken a different approach.
To stand out from the rest, Tribeca Green does not allow smoking in any of its residences or common areas. No one said living green would be easy but some one has to do it.

About This Blog

As a full-time graduate student, real estate agent, and competitive boxer, I saw the need for a blog detailing experiences in different neighborhoods across New York City. A New York resident, born and raised I recently sought out to explore NYC and document what stood out to me in each and every featured neighborhood, including that ever so important residence in which you lay your head. Follow me and you just might find out some very helpful information. Stay Tuned.
